ServiceNow Workflow Explained with an Example
Do you remember the service catalog I made last time?
If you missed it, you can watch it now by clicking here.
I made that service catalog for certificate reimbursement.
You already know that servicenow is known for making your life easier by automating as many repetitive tasks as possible.
Servicenow want us to make our life easy so they offer you work flow, so I created this workflow
The goal of this workflow is to automate majority of the tasks in the reimbursement service catalog.
I will explain you the work flow, imagine you want to submit for a certificate reimbursement
1. The workflow will be triggered once you submit a reimbursement request
2. Request will be sent to your manager for approval
3. Once your manager approved, a task will be created for the fulfillment team
(The request will be canceled if the manager rejects it.)
4. Once the fulfillment team finished the task, request will be marked as completed.
Consider doing all of those tasks manually…So much of time wasted right? I hope you know that time is a limited commodity and time means money so make sure you use your time, use your time wisely, automate what ever is possible 🙂
